UP: High Court Imposes Interim Ban On Recruitment Of 69000 Assistant Teachers

Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court on Wednesday put an interim stay on the recruitment process of 69 thousand assistant teachers in Uttar Pradesh. The petitioners had asked the veracity of some questions in the declared Sarkari result of assistant teachers. Hearing this, the court has stopped the recruitment process. The next hearing will be on 12 July.

Assistant teachers jobs online form was announced on Dec 06, 2018 by UPSC Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission and last date for this form was on Dec 06, 2018. This exam was conducted on Jan 01, 2019. Result of the post was declared on May 05, 2020. This exam result is going under a case in court. Candidates still doesn't know about their job confirmation and their job is not secure till now.

The order was published by a bench of Justice Alok Mathur after hearing together the petitions of dozens of petitioners. Earlier, the High Court had secured its order on June 1, which was pronounced today. The court has asked the petitioners to present their complaint to the disputed questions before the state government within a week.

The objections of the petitioners will be sent to the UGC by the UP government and the UGC will settle the objections. The next hearing will be on 12 July. Significantly, the government was showing great readiness to complete the appointments. The government concluded that many candidates will get a lot of relief if there are appointments soon in this corona period.

On June 2, the final merit list of the selected candidates for the 69000 posts of assistant teachers was released.
